We just can't say enough about Dagjeir...this horse is worth his weight in gold! Dagjeir is a 15.1 hand purebred Akhal-Teke gelding imported from Russia. He has a beautiful seal-brown coat, with the legendary Akhal-Teke metallic sheen, and lots of chrome! He's very handsome, and very flashy! His good looks get noticed everywhere he goes.
Dagjeir has extensive training in jumping and dressage and is an experienced and successful three-day eventer. He competed at five three-day events this summer with a beginner rider who had never shown, and is currently competing Training level and schooling Prelim. This gelding has the potential to go MUCH further! He's a bold, talented, and athletic jumper with lots of scope. He's very clever with his feet, never touches a rail in stadium, and never misses a step on cross-country. He has a floaty trot, and a lovely, smooth, uphill canter. He moves like a big horse, and comes in a handy package!
Not only is Dagjeir an athletic competitor, he is also a trusted school-horse and safe for riders of all levels and ages. He has been confidently ridden cross-country by a twelve-year old, and is used in lessons for children as young as five. He is sweet, careful, and kind. Dagjeir loves attention and has a wonderful work ethic; he meets you at the gate and puts his nose in the halter EVERY TIME! He is an incredible trail horse--whether you're with a group or on your own--and is confident with traffic, tractors, saw-mills, helicopters taking off & landing next-door, dogs, cows, children, motorcycles, etc.
Dagjeir is extremely healthy and has excellent conformation. He is fit and conditioned and has a lovely arched neck and a muscled back. He has great feet, is sound barefoot, and has never had a lame day in his life. This wonderful gelding is an extremely versatile horse with a personality that can't be beat; everyone who rides him falls in love with him. Possibly the best thing about Dagjeir is something you can't put a price tag on: the confidence he gives to all of his riders. He's fun, honest, steady, enthusiastic, and sure-footed.
