Miguel was bred to be an eye-catching dressage competitor for an amateur rider, and he's all that and more.
Miguel's sire, Saphiro, is a well-known cremello Lusitano champion, his dam is a gorgeous, baroque-looking palomino draftcross mare. Miguel is registered with the IALHA as a Half-Andalusian.
We bred and sold Miguel's brother, Diego, who's one year older, and he, at the age of three and after only six months of training, scored over-all high-point in his first open dressage show, and has scored from 68 to 71 during this first summer of competition - the start of a promising career for his amateur rider.
Miguel has started ground driving with the bit and he's had a saddle on and been lightly backed. He's a piece of cake to work with. He's got the ideal temperament for an amateur in dressage - calm and sweet, yet willing to work and very forward.
He is pure white with a luxuriant mane. The pictures, here, were taken at sunset so that his shape would show up, otherwise he just appears stark white in photos.
He's an extremely powerful horse, even at the age of two. He's currently about 15.2 -- I'm thinking he'll be 16 hands when he's mature, but he'll always look a lot bigger because of his substantial bone. He'll look more and more like his famous sire as he ages.
Miguel's price includes delivery within the lower 48.
I could use all sorts of fabulous adjectives to describe Miguel - let's just say he'll outshine almost any horse in any crowd. But the most important thing is, he's a wonderfully affectionate friend - a partner you'll always be able to count on.
