• The ability to produce variety comes from both his parents, but his dam definitely gave him unique characteristics as a Stallion. His dam, Joanne Woodward, was 100% quarter horse and was competitive in halter and all-around classes. Artie has produced numerous Hunter Under Saddle and English all-around offspring. He also has offspring that have excelled in the western pleasure, horsemanship and showmanship classes.
• Artie is able to throw height, but also puts substance and strength on his offspring. As a result, Artie can be bred to thoroughbred and appendix mares and will still produce offspring with strength.
• Artie also passes on equality between his fillies and colts. While other stallions throw smaller or mare-ish fillies, Artie’s fillies are of equal size and temperament to the colts.
