Lightning is showing great promise. We bred him for a reining cow horse. He was raised at home with us until he went to Sandy Collier's for training in April. He now is doing all his manuvers successfully. He is changing leads, circling fast/slow, stopping, and turning. We have just put sliders on him.
He has been on cattle 120 days too. He is ridden 7 days a week currently. He is kept in the barn and will be ready for the 2010 show season. He will definitely be quiet for an amateur or youth horse. He is on track for the futurity and will stay in training to compete/show until sold. We are only selling him due to financial reasons.
His sire went to the PBHA as a 3 yr old. Finished up 5th in the reining, 3rd in the cutting, and 3rd in the cow horse. He was retired early due to an injury. He is siring beautiful, nice minded, athletic offspring. His dam, is our pride and joy. We love her like a member of the family. She has won many year end awards and buckles including the RUTH LASWELL perpetual trophy for Amateur of the year on the CPHA circuit. This is her 3rd baby, and all have been trained up for reining cow horse successfully.
The Sire's Dam was a PBHA world champion in Cow horse.
